Rally rules and guidelines

20 Apr 2015 by Iznaya Kennedy

Dear L&DEC members and supporters,
To ensure and facilitate successful rallies that run smoothly and reliably, a few guidelines are in place with which you are encouraged to familiarise yourselves, please.
Bookings and cancellations need to be made by the Wednesday of the week before the rally (I.e. 10 days prior). This is so that the schedule can be published and the instructor advised of the format, for planning purposes. It also aids in catering.
Cancellations after this time will require riders to replace themselves, where possible and payment for the lesson. We will have a waiting list for rallies and you will be able to contact waiting members via Team App to organise your replacement.
In addition to replacing yourself you also risk losing priority for the subsequent rally when you book in and will be placed on the waiting list.
Special circumstances excepted (substantiated medical, veterinary and compassionate grounds only, just talk to us)). This will be implemented if a cancellation for other reasons occurs sequentially or more than twice in 4 month period.
Morning tea supply is welcomed!
PCAV and EA affiliated riders are encouraged to join us, so ride with friends and family, if desired.
L&DEC members are encouraged to wear club colours to rallies, especially as we open up the rallies to other riders, so that new and guest riders can know who to ask for drinks access/grounds facilities etc .
Respectful conduct is expected at all times at the grounds, particularly as we can expect juniors to attend.
Lastly, have fun and block the third Sunday of the month in your calendars as a horsey social day to anticipate!
Best regards,
L&DEC Rally Coordinator
